Choosing the Right Goal for Your Campaign
Last updated August 14, 2026
When you start a new campaign, the Lead Goal you select does more than label the campaign -- it decides what "good fit" means for every lead that comes out of it. Picking the wrong goal is the single most common reason leads end up feeling mismatched.
A few tips:
- Match the goal to what you're actually selling, not to the type of business you're targeting. If you sell website design to dental practices, your goal should be about website design, not "healthcare."
- If you offer more than one service, run separate campaigns for each with the matching goal, rather than one broad campaign -- you'll get more precisely-matched leads for each.
- Not sure which goal fits? Describe what you sell in plain language when setting up your profile, and the system will suggest the closest match -- you can always adjust it before running a campaign.
Getting the goal right up front means every lead you receive already has a genuine, relevant reason attached for why they're worth pitching.
