Verified vs. Qualified: What's the Difference
Last updated August 14, 2026
These two terms show up together often, but they mean different things:
Qualified means the business matches what you're looking for -- it fits your chosen goal (for example, having a genuine website gap if your goal is web design) and doesn't trip any of the "bad fit" signals (like being a competitor rather than a prospect).
Verified means the business's contact details have been checked and are real and reachable -- the phone number and email hold up, and the business is a genuine, findable operation, not a stale or duplicate listing.
A lead only ever reaches your workspace once it's both. Qualified without verified would mean a good-fit business whose contact info hasn't been confirmed yet -- that's not enough to hand to you. Verified without qualified would mean a real business that just isn't a good match for what you sell. Both checks have to clear before a lead counts toward your delivered total.
